On October 1, 2021, the Department of Commerce (“Commerce”) announced in the Federal Register the possibility of requesting an annual administrative review for products which are currently subject to anti-dumping and countervailing duties. The products and countries that have been listed in the Federal Register opinions are as follows:

  • Brazil: Carbon wire rod and some alloy steels and some hot-rolled flat steel products
  • India: Stainless steel flanges
  • Indonesia: Carbon wire rod and certain steel alloys

  • Mexico: Carbon wire rod and certain steel alloys and refillable stainless steel flanges
  • Moldova: Carbon wire rod and certain steel alloys
  • Republic of Korea: Certain hot-rolled steel flat products

  • Netherlands: some hot-rolled steel flat products

As part of this annual review process, the Department of Commerce intends to select respondents based on an analysis of United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) data for US imports during the review period, which is communicated only to legal counsel to interested parties. Any party wishing to participate in the review process of anti-dumping and countervailing duties, or likely to be affected by duties on the products identified in the Federal Register must file a request for review no later than November 1, 2021. To be eligible to participate in the review, a party must be either an exporter or an importer of the specific products during the specific periods indicated in the Federal Register opinion.
